I finally stopped by Broadway after like 10 years of first seeing it. Great group of people to get some rounds in with! And they have showers on site, what more could you ask for?

This gym has some of the toughest mats in New England, but is still very welcoming to beginners. There are white-belt-only classes for beginners to purple-belt and higher classes for more advanced students. The instruction is top notch and you’ll find yourself advancing faster here than at other schools.

Broadway Jiu Jitsu is a place where you will get competitive rolls and world class instruction. The relationships that I've been able to foster here will last a life time.

Top tier jiu jitsu. Phenomenal instruction that’s beneficial for beginners and experts alike. Broadway has a big mat space and a great environment that allows people to get the most out of their training. Broadway is a 10/10 and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for great training from great coaches. Come to Broadway Jiu-Jitsu.

Started about 2 years ago, never stopped class since then, never had problem with any coach. Great community, people come from all different background, generally speaking everybody is very friendly and respectful. I made great friends from here who are excellent in other fields as well, I have learned a lot from them more than just Martial Arts and made connection with them outside of gym. I also met few of best friends here. The price is very affordable if you dedicate to train and learn. The coaches are very responsible, and restricted on details. The way of teaching may not be the way that you feel comfortable with, but it definitely helps you really learn how to fight, and you will feel great after.

Top notch martial arts gym. There is a really good mix of hobbyists and competitors in the gym which makes it welcoming for everyone. The gym offers a litany of different classes including gi/ no gi jiu jitsu, wrestling, judo and Muy Thai. I highly recommend checking it out

Dropped by one evening 8 years ago and kept coming back multiple times a week. Exceptional instructors, supportive environment, and tons of fun. Nobody gives you anything at Broadway without you earning it.

Moved to Boston for work, shopped around for gyms and settled into Broadway JJ. Clean facility, experienced instructors that cater to all levels, and a great curriculum. If you have ever thought of trying Jiu Jitsu, do not hesitate! This is the place to go in Boston!

Great gym, great instructors, and a great culture. Broadway Jiu-Jitsu is an excellent place to learn jiu-jitsu at all skill levels. The instructors do a phenomenal job at teaching and coaching concepts with lots of individual attention. Its the best spot to hone in on skills and drill with strong competition. I've been here for almost a year and couldn't have asked for a better group of people to learn from. If you're looking to try jiu-jitsu out for the first time or thinking about transitioning to a new gym, this is the place to be!

Broadway Jiu Jitsu is a top notch facility. It’s the only place to train if you’re in South Boston. John Clarke AKA “Red Velvet” is a world class teacher and his staff is tremendous. Definitely give it a shot! You won’t regret it.

I have been training 6+ months with the team and have appreciated the detailed instruction by our coaches and the camaraderie I share with other teammates. It's a strong culture where everyone is there to genuinely push you and make you better. The plethora of classes available (BJJ, Judo, Muay Thai)offer a world class group of instructors that are experienced, patient and informative. Fortunate to be a part of such a team and encourage others to join.

Really can’t recommend Broadway enough if you’re interested in jiu-jitsu and martial arts. Whether you’re an advanced practitioner or someone like me who walked in the gym with zero experience, the instructors and fellow practitioners immediately make you feel like part of the Broadway family. The gym is spacious, the instructors all provide world class teaching, there are classes throughout the day to suit your schedule, and you always leave having learned a lot and feeling like you’re progressing. 10/10 sort of experience.

A top Boston gym from MMA to Jiu jitsu and more. I’ve been 10+ other gyms and Broadway has some of the most technical instructors. From beginner to well season, you will not regret joining the club. The environment is extremely competitive, but also incredibly friendly and doable for a hobbyist such as myself.

I've been going to Broadway for about a year now. JC is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, making every class a great learning experience. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner; they cater to everyone's skill level, which has helped me improve significantly.

Besides doing jiu jitsu I also come in and do some heavy bag workouts. They offer a Thai heavy bag, which is a rarity in South Boston.

Highly recommend!

D is a great coach. He adjusts the teaching style to what resonates with me, but never forgets to tie it to the why-always trying to create a deeper understanding. The result is a methodical practice, dosed with consistent humility, mutual respect, and a collective drive to always improve.

Great gym, Great atmosphere and great competitive athletes here. JC is the man. Highly recommend! Everyone has been kind but the training is rock solid so what more can you ask for?

I've been training jiu-jitsu and wrestling at Broadway for about a year and a half. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming to all students. The classes are well structured and there's always great competition. I highly, highly recommend Broadway to anyone looking to improve their BJJ/wrestling game.

I had never done any sort of martial arts before, but thought it looked fun and wanted to give it a shot. Came here to try out a no-gi bjj class. The instructors were awesome and went out of their way to provide extra instruction and modification to the session to make sure I got the most out of it. All the other member and staff were very open and friendly and accommodating. The class was a ton of fun and I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone

As a travelling black belt, I always take my gi with me when I travel for work. I dropped in for a class last night and can say this gym is top notch. High level technique and a wide range of students. Would definitely recommend this place.

I trained at Broadway for about three years while living in Boston and make sure to come back every time I’m back in town. John is a fantastic coach who was instrumental in shaping my game, and anyone who is serious about their martial arts training should take the opportunity to train with him and his team.

Visited the dojo for a week and had an extremely pleasant experience. The instructor is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Everybody seemed to be very respectful, and the teammates that I practiced with treated me like one of them. The dojo itself is in very good condition, clean and with good spacious facilities.

I strongly suggest anyone who is interested in the different sports to consider this as your first alternative in the area.

This is one of the best gyms I've ever been to. Advanced practitioners and absolute beginners are both welcomed equally, not only by staff but by members as well. Those who are interested in competing in tournaments will find the coaching and support here second to none. Additionally, those who are curious to try something new for health reasons or just looking for a new hobby would not be out of place. Broadway is welcoming to men and women of all walks of life; the mat is a great equalizer. Everyone is respectful and you'll notice the same people coming in consistently which gives Broadway a very unique familiarity and encourages newcomers to come back the next day and the next...

My university has several decent gyms, but I barely persuaded myself to workout there. Broadway Jiu Jitsu is the first gym where I really enjoy sports, enjoy learning techniques and sequences. It has excellent instructors and friendly-tough members. I can't recommend more highly. I wish I have joined this bjj family years ago.

Exceptional school. I’ve been doing BJJ for 10+ years and have trained at most schools in Greater Boston, and Broadway ranks as one of my favorites by far. The instructor has high expectations in regards to effort and respect, but does a great job of modeling both. The result is a motivating and focused culture, and a healthy level of competition. He and the rest of the coaches are very professional and kind, and provide excellent instruction. They are doing a wonderful job of running a quality school while respecting the challenges/restrictions related to COVID..

I dropped in from out of town for a couple classes. They were a great bunch. Good variety of skill levels in the gym. We drilled some awesome techniques then got into some sparring. For sparring you were paired up with people your size with a different skill level. I personally love that setup. (Keep in mind this structure could change this is just how it was when I was there)

Overall everyone was super nice and they had great instruction. Check it out!
